A nationally recognized group of climate leaders have joined the 2025 American Climate Leadership Awards selection committee. They are authors, climate activists, storytellers, and climate experts.
Since 2019, ecoAmerica’s American Climate Leadership Awards (ACLA) has celebrated over 150 local and national leaders, granting over one million dollars to individuals and organizations propelling climate solutions. This year, the judges will award over $200,000 in cash prizes to groups working together and individually to showcase their climate preparedness, resilience, action, and advocacy at the local, regional, and national levels.
The 2025 selection committee members are:
- Xiye Bastida, Climate justice activist
- Jeff Goodell, Writer
- Graham Hill, The Carbonauts
- Margaret Klein Salamon, PhD, Executive Director of Climate Emergency Fund
- Aishah-Nyeta Brown, Climate storyteller
- David Pogue, Climate expert
- Alexañdria Villasenor, Cofounder, US Youth Climate Strike movement
- Jerome Foster II, Environmental Activist
American Climate Activist Jerome Foster II will be a featured cohost the awards broadcast on April 16, 2025.
